Frequently Asked Questions
I am sick already. Can I still take the disability plan out?
Yes, you can take the disability plan as long as you're actively at work. There is a 12-month pre-existing requirement. This means if you have been diagnosed with a sickness or injury and received treatment within 12 months of the effective date, you would not receive a benefit for that condition. The benefit would be paid for any non pre-existing conditions.
Do I have to take the full amount?
No, you can elect a lower benefit amount than what you qualify for. You cannot elect an amount over the maximum benefit amount, which is based on your salary.
When can I get pregnant and be covered?
Anytime after the effective date of your policy.
